28 Days to Better Landing Pages – Day #3: BOB

By now you are probably wondering what BOB stands for.  It’s pretty simple.  It’s called the BIG ORANGE BUTTON…aka BOB.

Next time you are on an e-commerce site, take a look at the color of buttons that the website uses.  A lot of times you will see a big orange button.  Amazon has mastered this process by slightly changing the colors of the BOB, but keeping it in the same color class.

Take a look at what kind of button you are using for your conversions on your landing pages.  Try to incorporate a test that uses the big orange button, and see if your conversions increase.  Make it a little bigger and a litter more noticeable (even if your designers don’t like it).  Split the traffic, and see how the BOB works.  You may be pleasantly surprised.  Don’t take my word for it.  TEST, TEST, TEST!!!!
