As a sales representative, Kurt discovered a talent for uncovering needs, communicating benefits, and differentiating his offer in a compelling manner – ask him how a model airplane helped him closed a $10M data communications deal. Kurt also won numerous Top Salesperson awards in the role of an individual contributor. As his management responsibilities grew, he built sales teams at several fast growth companies which averaged between 22%-43% annual growth from 2001-2007. In the process, he developed the systems and skills to motivate and train salespeople to be successful. That led him to start The Sales Foundry in 2008 to share his knowledge through speaking and sales skills training.
